The MaterialBehind the Part.
TrueSil is our proprietary silicone material — engineered for additive manufacturing. Every part we print is made from it.
TrueSil — Our Material Family
What is TrueSil?
TrueSil is Spectroplast's proprietary silicone material — developed in-house and engineered specifically for additive manufacturing. Designed to deliver the authentic properties of real silicone. TrueSil enables the production of high-quality, precision silicone parts with exceptional detail resolution and exceptional haptics and aesthetics.
Whether used in medical devices, electronics, robotics, or industrial applications, TrueSil offers the flexibility, biocompatibility, and durability that engineers and designers demand, all accessible through Spectroplast's on-demand 3D printing platform.
Our materials are developed in-house, validated across industrial and medical applications, and continuously refined through our application engineering work. When you order from Spectroplast, TrueSil is what you get.

Material Properties
True Silicone Chemistry
Real silicone — not alternatives. Production-grade mechanical properties and the chemical stability you need for demanding applications.
Isotropic Performance
Parts perform equally in all directions. No layer-dependent weaknesses. Consistent mechanical behaviour from prototype to production.
Biocompatible by Design
Silicone has long been the material of choice in medical applications. TrueSil® brings that same decades-long industry trust into an additive manufacturing context — tested for biocompatibility and validated as a reliable foundation for skin-contact and medical-use applications.
High Resolution & Surface Quality
Fine feature details and injection-moulding-level surface quality — without the tooling. What you design is what you get.
Shore Hardness Range: 20A – 60A
From ultra-soft to firm — four standard hardness grades cover the vast majority of industrial and medical silicone applications.
Validated for End-Use
Not just prototyping materials. TrueSil® parts are used in production environments across medical devices, soft robotics, and precision manufacturing.

Custom Material Development
Standard formulations cover most applications. When they don't, our material scientists develop and validate silicone formulations tailored to your exact requirements — specific Shore hardness, heat resistance, biocompatibility, or color. Custom formulation is part of our Application Engineering service.
Custom formulation work is part of our Solution Engineering service. We define targets together, develop and validate the material, and integrate it into your production workflow.

Take the Next Step.
Whether you need a custom formulation or a material partnership — we can help.
Need a Material Developed for Your Application?
If your project requires specific material properties beyond our standard range — we can develop it with you.
Are You a Printer Manufacturer?
We partner with hardware companies to bring TrueSil to new printing platforms. If you want to offer validated silicone materials on your system, let's talk about a material partnership.
